Emily makes sure our work with partners and collaborators enables our members to engage effectively in a strategic debate about the climate challenge for their businesses.

Emily is an experienced partnership and engagement professional having worked with governments, business and NGOs in the UK and internationally. Prior to Chapter Zero, Emily was Network Director of the UKSSD, a cross-sector initiative to accelerate progress on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the UK which she co-founded. Over five years she successfully grew UKSSD to become an influential and thriving network which has since been integrated in the UN Global Compact Network UK programme. She worked for award-winning environmental charity Bioregional on project development and advocacy during the international negotiations for the SDGs and the Paris Climate Agreement. Before this she held a variety of roles in social justice NGOs in the UK.

Her desire to help tackle the climate crisis was sparked during her MSc studies in Sustainable Development, building on a lifetime fascination of nature and an aspiration to improve the lives of future generations. Emily has a Bachelor’s in Fine Art, is a Fellow of the RSA and edie Sustainability Leader of the Year 2019 finalist.
