New ratings system for investors to tackle climate crisis         
CDP has launched a temperature ratings system to give investors a clear, science-based standard for taking and measuring action towards a sustainable economy and reducing the temperature of their portfolios and products.

Apple announces 2030 net-zero target
The tech company has pledged to be ‘carbon neutral’ throughout its entire business, manufacturing supply chain and product life cycle by 2030. Read more here.

BlackRock continues to challenge companies on climate
In a recent report, the $6.5 trillion firm said it had identified 244 companies during the 2020 annual proxy season that weren’t doing enough to either prepare for a warming planet or inform their investors about the risks to their operations from climate change. BlackRock will continue to vote against directors if they fail to make significant progress.Larry Fink, Chairman and CEO of BlackRock, also recently spoke about the fundamental reshaping of finance and what comes next for sustainability in light of the current COVID crisis.

395 million new jobs by 2030 if businesses prioritise nature
The Future of Nature and Business, released as part of The World Economic Forum’s New Nature Economy series, provides practical insights for shifting towards a nature-positive economy and finds that nature-positive solutions will create $10.1 trillion in business opportunity.

As we enter our second year, Chapter Zero has built a membership of more than 900 members. 47 of the companies in the FTSE 100 have at least one Chapter Zero board member, with members on 144 boards in the FTSE 350 more broadly.
